Keyes Pottery

My work blends whimsical and functional styles together to create ceramics that can be used and enjoyed every day. Each piece is thrown on a wheel, then altered or carved to make the curvy and geometric patterns found on my pots. I use various glazing techniques to create the saturated and juicy colors that give my wares an elegant, yet funky feel. My work is inspired by the patterns found in nature and reflects my desire to create form, function, and beauty in my surroundings. Every piece is unique in detail, but uniform enough to work as a set. All of the pottery is food safe, made with stoneware clay, and fired to cone 6.
