Anne Jerman, Ceramic Artist

I work in many ways--working at the wheel, working on hand built pieces and often combining the two. My work is usually functional, and sometimes simply decorative. I use two firing techniques: electric fired oxidation and gas fired raku. All of the electric fired pieces are dishwasher safe, microwave safe and food safe. Raku pieces are decorative, low fired, and are neither food safe nor dishwasher safe. I work in a beautiful studio at my home where I am influenced by nature's beauty. In addition to the Weaverville Art Safari, I am also a member of the Odyssey Co-Op Gallery on Clingman Avenue in the River Arts District of Asheville.
